The mystery surrounding Sebastian Stan’s role in Matt Reeves’ highly anticipated ‘The Batman: Part II’ appears to be over.
During a new interview with Le Journal du Dimanche, Stan seemingly confirmed that he will portray Harvey Dent. Harvey Dent is the Gotham City district attorney famously known as Two-Face.
When asked about his involvement in the upcoming sequel, Stan addressed the film directly, stating:
“I also can’t say anything about The Batman – Part II, by Matt Reeves, where I embody Harvey Dent.”
The comment marks the clearest confirmation yet of Stan’s role in the sequel. This comes after months of speculation surrounding whether he would play Harvey Dent or another character.
Harvey Dent is one of Batman’s most iconic allies-turned-enemies. Traditionally he is portrayed as Gotham’s idealistic district attorney. Eventually, Dent suffers a devastating transformation that turns him into the villainous Two-Face. Afterward, he becomes a criminal who leaves his decisions to the flip of a scarred coin.
