“Palm Royale” chronicles Maxine Simmons’ quest to infiltrate Palm Beach’s elite, posing the timeless query of how much personal integrity one is willing to sacrifice for social status. Set against the backdrop of 1969, it celebrates the resilience of outsiders yearning for acceptance. Starring Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern, with a stellar supporting cast including Allison Janney and Ricky Martin, the series, based on Juliet McDaniel’s “Mr. and Mrs. American Pie,” is a collaboration between Apple Studios and various production companies, helmed by Abe Sylvia and directed by Tate Taylor and others.
