Dakota Fanning Is Trapped In A Dangerous Forest In ‘The Watchers’
Warner Bros’ just dropped a mysterious trailer for ‘The Watchers’ starring Dakota Fanning and produced by M. Night Shyamalan, and written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, adapted from A.M. Shine’s novel. The film centers on Mina, a 28-year-old artist who finds herself on a secluded vast, pristine forest in western Ireland. Seeking refuge, she inadvertently becomes stranded with three strangers in a shelter, only to discover they are being monitored and pursued by enigmatic creatures under the cover of darkness.

The creatures are heard loud and clear every night; they are never seen, but they miss nothing and will stop at nothing. The trailer does not dive deeper into the story’s premise, leaving much unexpected—a typical move for a Shyamalan film. Nonetheless, they never disappoint.
The ensemble cast includes Olwen Fouéré, Georgina Campbell, and Siobhan Hewlett. Campbell, known for her role as Tess in the chilling thriller “Barbarian,” joins the film as one of the enigmatic figures who may or may not be trustworthy. Hewlett plays Mina’s mother and is celebrated for her diverse voice roles in the gaming world. The screenplay, based on the novel by A.M. Shine, promises a thrilling blend of supernatural horror and suspense.
“The Watchers,” will be in theaters internationally June 12!
