Firecracker Would Absolutely Start a Conspiracy Podcast if She Lived in the Real World
Fans of The Boys already know that Firecracker thrives on chaos, conspiracy theories, and saying the absolute worst thing possible at exactly the wrong moment. But it turns out the actress behind the explosive supe has just as much fun poking at the character’s ridiculousness as fans do especially when imagining what Firecracker would be like in the real world without powers.
Spoiler alert: she would not survive gracefully.
When asked what Firecracker’s biggest struggle would be if she had to live as a normal person for 24 hours, the answer wasn’t fighting crime or blending into society. It was much more Firecracker-coded than that. Apparently, her first concern would be whether she had a good enough setting spray to keep her makeup intact, because, as the actress hilariously pointed out, “she barely has a superpower” anyway. Beyond that, surviving a full day in those heels might be the real superhuman challenge.
Trying to imagine Firecracker with an actual day job somehow only made things more chaotic. A social media manager feels almost too obvious considering the character practically lives online stirring up outrage and conspiracy theories for fun, but the conversation quickly spiraled into possibilities like cafeteria worker or even alligator wrangler. Oddly enough, the gator connection isn’t random. According to the actress, Firecracker’s apartment set is covered in alligator decorations, leading to the very believable theory that she probably mud-wrestles gators professionally on weekends between livestream rants. That feels exactly like the kind of background detail The Boys would sneak into canon.

Of course, things got even funnier when the topic turned to which member of The Seven Firecracker would least want to be trapped in an elevator with. Naturally, Homelander topped the list because nobody on the show is emotionally surviving a long conversation with him. But the actress also pointed out that being stuck with Black Noir would either result in complete silence or Firecracker aggressively filling every second with nonstop talking just to avoid the awkwardness. Meanwhile, being trapped with The Deep would apparently turn into a discussion about PR disasters and arm day, which somehow sounds painfully accurate.
One of the hardest moments to film without laughing came during Firecracker and The Deep’s hilariously awkward duet on “Truthbomb” in Season 4. The actress recalled trying not to break character while singing directly at her co-star, especially when he’d subtly shake his head at her mid-scene as if silently warning, “Do not laugh.” Unfortunately, the entire thing was just too ridiculous to keep a straight face through, which honestly feels like the unofficial tagline for half the scenes in The Boys.
As wild as Firecracker already is, the actress admitted the character could definitely benefit from borrowing someone else’s powers specifically Sister Sage’s intelligence. According to her, Firecracker could really use some “critical thinking skills,” which may secretly be one of the funniest insults delivered about the character all season. Then came the most unexpected casting suggestion imaginable for The Seven: Miss Piggy.
The actress fully backed the idea, pointing out that Miss Piggy is already strong, intimidating, and a surprisingly great fighter without even needing actual powers. She also joked that Miss Piggy and Firecracker have very similar energy, except Miss Piggy would probably keep Homelander on edge and now fans everywhere are realizing that a Muppets crossover with The Boys would somehow make perfect sense.
But perhaps the most horrifying reveal involved one of the show’s most infamous props. Fans will remember the absolutely cursed giant anatomy scene from Season 3, and according to the actress, that nightmare fuel was completely practical. The massive prop physically existed on set in Toronto and stood around two stories tall. Cast members apparently passed photos of it around to traumatize each other, ensuring nobody involved could ever unsee it again.
Which feels deeply on brand for this show.
As for Firecracker’s social media presence, the actress confirmed what fans already suspected: every single post would be chaos. Conspiracy theories, messy livestreams, online arguments, and somehow a concerning amount of alligator content would dominate her feed. That chaotic internet energy is basically the core of who Firecracker is, which explains why fans love watching her wreak havoc even while absolutely hating everything she says.
And honestly, that’s exactly the reaction the actress hopes for. She shared how grateful the cast is for the fans who’ve supported The Boys over the years, adding that hearing people say they “love to hate” Firecracker means she’s doing her job perfectly. Because in the world of The Boys, being hated might actually be the biggest compliment a character can earn.
