Today, Spider-Noir finally gave us our first full look—and it’s exactly the kind of bold, stylish swing fans have been waiting for.
Led by Nicolas Cage in his first-ever leading TV role, the upcoming series reimagines the Marvel universe through a smoky, shadow-filled 1930s New York—and from the moment the trailer starts, you know this isn’t your typical Spider-Man story.
“I was never a hero. I only did it for the thrill…”
That one line sets the tone. This version of Spider-Man—Ben Reilly—is older, worn down, and haunted. A private investigator trying to outrun a past shaped by tragedy, only to be pulled back into the role of the city’s only masked vigilante.
Based on Spider-Man: Noir, Spider-Noir leans fully into its roots, and for the first time ever, fans will actually be able to watch the series in two distinct formats: “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color.” It’s a creative choice that instantly makes this feel like more than just another superhero show—it’s an experience.

The trailer itself is packed with atmosphere—rain-soaked streets, brutal action, and a lineup of villains that look ready to take over the city’s underworld. Brendan Gleeson steps in as mob boss Silvermane, with Jack Huston as Sandman, Abraham Popoola as Tombstone, and more teased throughout. Every glimpse adds to the feeling that this world is dangerous, layered, and deeply personal.

The cast backing Cage is stacked, including Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Lukas Haas—all of whom help bring this noir-inspired universe to life.
The hype is already massive, and it only grew louder when the trailer made its world premiere at CCXPMX26, held at the Centro Banamex Convention Center. With over 2,000 fans packed into the room, the cast and creators—including co-showrunner Oren Uziel—introduced the series, debuted extended footage, and even surprised fans with a special video message from Cage himself. Attendees also got exclusive collectible badges inspired by the show’s characters, designed by Jorge Molina.
Behind the scenes, the series is just as impressive. Emmy-winning director Harry Bradbeer helms the first episodes, with Uziel and Steve Lightfoot leading as co-showrunners. The project is also developed alongside the Oscar-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse—Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal—which explains why this already feels like something special.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television, Spider-Noir will debut first on MGM+ on May 25, 2026, before launching globally on Prime Video on May 27 across more than 240 countries and territories.
If this trailer proves anything, it’s that Spider-Noir isn’t just another Marvel series—it’s a full-on reinvention. Darker, moodier, and driven by character, this is Spider-Man like you’ve never seen before—and it might end up being one of the most exciting releases of the summer.
