Disney Brings the Aloha Spirit with Lilo & Stitch
Among the biggest and most heartwarming highlights was a surprise live-action Lilo & Stitch performance that left fans speechless. Right outside the convention center, Disney transformed a small corner of downtown into a slice of Hawaii. What started as a simple photo op quickly turned into a full-on show, complete with dancers, ukuleles, and a life-sized Stitch bounding into the scene. Fans laughed, cried, and danced along as the moment went viral within hours. Free shaved ice, tropical backdrops, and themed giveaways made this feel like a mini vacation in the middle of Comic-Con madness. We also met the cast and the film is now out on digital.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Dives Into the Sea of Monsters
The Percy Jackson and the Olympians activation made waves with a fully immersive “Sea of Monsters” diner experience in the Gaslamp District. Fans stepped into a reimagined Camp Half-Blood setting, complete with themed snacks, mythological props, and clever photo ops straight out of the books and series. With camp counselors guiding the way and surprise appearances by cast members, this one delivered a magical taste of Percy’s world — and had fans buzzing like they’d just battled a hydra.

Predator: Badlands Stalks the Gaslamp
Just when things started to feel too peaceful, the Predators arrived. Actors dressed in full Predator gear prowled the streets, handing out custom Predator masks to fans brave enough to take one. The masks instantly became one of the weekend’s coolest collectibles, and the eerie vibe of being “hunted” added an immersive thrill that went far beyond a simple photo op.

Thunderbolts* Treatz Truck Delivered Sweet Chaos to SDCC 2025
The Thunderbolts* Treatz Truck brought brain freezes, surprise drops, and a taste of chaos to San Diego Comic-Con. Fans of Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* stopped by to snag free ice cream, exclusive swag, and Instagram-worthy photo ops. Themed sundaes like “Strawberry Red Glory,” inspired by Red Guardian, served as the perfect power-up for a Comic-Con cooldown. The Treatz Truck swirled up super scoops all weekend long.
Not attending SDCC? No problem. Fans across the country still got in on the action — Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* is now available on Digital at retailers such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. The film made its explosive debut on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on July 29!
Disney TV Brings the Worlds to Life
Disney’s television division wasn’t holding back either. Whether you were stepping into the Sea of Monsters diner for Percy Jackson, exploring an alien crash site for Alien: Earth, or vibing at the Abbott Elementary block party, each activation was packed with thoughtful detail, clever nods to the series, and interactive moments. Fans walked away with exclusive pins, themed snacks, and huge grins. Check out our socials for all the fun and we have some giveaways!

Paramount+ Takes Over with The Lodge
Hands down one of the most ambitious takeovers of the weekend belonged to Paramount+. Returning for its third year, The Lodge set up shop at Happy Does in the Gaslamp and delivered an unmatched lineup of immersive fan experiences — no badge required.
Inside The Lodge, each room transported fans to a different universe:
- DEXTER: RESURRECTION Vault – A chilling walk through a killer’s lair filled with case files, mementos, and an unnerving amount of detail.
- STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS Holodeck – A cosmic playground with vignettes inspired by the new season, complete with an “Intergalactic Love Lounge.”
- The LANDMAN Patch Café – Step into Midland, TX for drinks in a series-faithful watering hole.
- NCIS: TONY & ZIVA Parisian Safehouse – An undercover café with romantic espionage vibes and deep-cut easter eggs.
- MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE Vault Drop – Fans recreated the iconic Ethan Hunt vault scene with a suspended photo moment that was pure IMF.

Free to enter and designed for selfies, scavenger hunts, and serious fandom, The Lodge was a must-see off-site — and the RSVP-only system kept lines moving fast.
🎶 Crunchyroll Anime FanFest at The Shell
Over at the Rady Shell, Crunchyroll threw a two-day outdoor Anime FanFest that felt more like a mini Coachella for anime fans. Free and open to the public, it featured live performances from J-pop and hip-hop artists, cosplay contests, exclusive merch, and plenty of food trucks. If you were an anime fan in San Diego, this was the place to be.

Badge or No Badge — This Was the Year of the Fan
Here’s the real kicker: most of these jaw-dropping activations didn’t even require a badge. That meant casual fans, locals, and curious tourists could jump into the action without stepping foot inside the convention center. And many did — turning the Gaslamp District into a full-throttle celebration of fandom.
Missed a panel? Couldn’t get into Hall H? Don’t sweat it — the real party was out on the streets. And if 2025 is any clue, Comic-Con’s future lies just as much outside the convention center as in.
