Eagly Soars While The 11th Street Kids Reunite for Episode 2 of Peacemaker
Helmed by director Greg Mottola and penned by creator James Gunn, Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 2 dives headfirst into raw emotion, savage humor, and unrelenting chaos — amplifying the show’s heart while turning the madness up to eleven.
Table Of Content
Picking up right after the explosive season premiere, Chris Smith (aka Peacemaker) is reeling—physically, emotionally, and existentially—from killing his alternate dimension self. Rather than process this trauma in therapy, Chris stores the body in his so-called “Quantum Unfolding Storage Area.” Realizing he’s in over his head, he calls in his ever-loyal and disturbingly enthusiastic best friend, Adrian Chase (Vigilante).
Adrian is tasked with helping Chris dismember and dispose of his doppelgänger, Dexter-style, via a makeshift incinerator. The scene is equally grotesque and tragic, arguably one of Gunn’s darkest and most emotionally layered moments in the series so far.

New Faces, Old Grudges
Meanwhile, a familiar name resurfaces: Rick Flag Sr., now revealed as the new head of A.R.G.U.S. Fueled by rage over his son’s death, he’s laser-focused on hunting down Peacemaker. Enter Langston Fleury, played with perfect awkwardness by Tim Meadows. Fleury is assigned to monitor Economos and ensure his ties to Chris don’t compromise the mission.
Fleury’s introduction brings a fresh layer of absurdist comedy to the series—particularly through a bizarre condition: “bird blindness.” Yes, he cannot distinguish bird species. This proves problematic when he squares off with Eagly in the episode’s most unexpected showdown.

Eagly: Best Supporting Predator
If anyone steals the show in Episode 2, it’s Eagly. What was once a loyal animal sidekick is now a full-blown force of nature. He’s Peacemaker’s version of Krypto—if Krypto had a bloodlust and a thing for ripping out eyeballs.
Eagly gets his own action sequence, leaving A.R.G.U.S. agents terrified, injured, and probably in therapy. It’s gory, hilarious, and a reminder that even the mascot on this show is wildly unpredictable.
The 11th Street Kids Reunite (Sort of)
The gang reconvenes—sort of—for an awkward Bud Light toast and some emotional reconnections. Economos finds a moment of clarity (thanks to Leota) about forging his own path. Vigilante nurses a bruised ego from missing out on the orgy, but bonds with Chris over shared emotional confusion.
Chris and Harcourt share a fragile beat of tension and honesty. He comments on her eye injury; she brushes it off with biting sarcasm. “Sorry I’m not as fucked up as you, Chris,” she says, cutting through the banter to expose real emotional distance—and maybe buried care.

Alt-Reality Confusion and Text Message Twists
Drunk and spiraling, Chris stumbles into the feather-filled wreckage of his home, distractedly scrolling through photos taken from his alternate self’s phone. One image in particular—of “Milia,” an alternate version of Harcourt’s romantic partner—pulls at him. A short text exchange with Emilia Harcourt blurs the line between realities, leaving Chris (and viewers) more unsettled than ever.
Post-Credit Chaos
In true Peacemaker fashion, Episode 2 ends with a hilarious post-credit scene: Fleury and Economos sharing a baffling conversation about Fleury’s romantic misadventures, which apparently involved someone named “the Peppermint Twins.” It’s weird, it’s improvised, and it’s exactly the kind of comedic flavor Gunn uses to round out the emotional gut-punches.
Peacemaker Season 2 continues to strike a rare balance: outrageous violence, sharp political commentary, absurd humor, and surprising emotional weight. Episode 2 proves the show isn’t afraid to go darker—while keeping you laughing and wincing in equal measure.
