Netflix, in partnership with Gold House, held an exclusive Los Angeles screening event of “3 Body Problem,” followed by an unforgettable immersive experience at Wolvesmouth.
The streaming platform’s adaptation of Liu Cixin’s mind-bending book series stands as one of its ambitious endeavors. Beyond offering intricate sci-fi content, the latest high-budget series is led by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, renowned for their work on “Game of Thrones.” Despite the mixed reception to the fantasy epic’s finale, their involvement adds significant intrigue to this new project.
Sunday night’s special event with Gold House orchestrated an enchanting fusion of art, cuisine, and cultural celebration, commemorating the premiere of “3 Body Problem.” The event lauded the adaptation of Liu Cixin’s Chinese novel while accentuating the importance of API representation, and advocating for inclusivity across Latinx, Black, and LGBTQ+ communities, all reflected in the cast. Kicking off with a screening of the series, the evening progressed with a stimulating Q&A session moderated by Jenelle Riley of Variety, featuring panelists such as David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Alexander Woo, and Derek Tsang.
