The Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA) hosted the 2025 Astra Creative Arts Awards on Thursday evening at Castaway Burbank in Burbank, California, honoring the behind-the-scenes talent that powers film and television.

Celebrating Creative Arts Excellence in Film and Television
The annual Astra Creative Arts Awards spotlight artisans whose work elevates storytelling across movies and TV. From major studio blockbusters to critically acclaimed independent films and fan-favorite television series, the 2025 nominees represented the full spectrum of entertainment excellence.
Nominees were selected by two HCA nominating committees composed of industry professionals, including actors, artisans, critics, directors, entertainment journalists, and publicists — all members of the Hollywood Creative Alliance.
Film Winners at the 2025 Astra Creative Arts Awards

On the film side, Sinners and Frankenstein led the winners with three awards each. One Battle After Another and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning earned two wins apiece, while Weapons and Wicked: For Good each received one award.
Key film awards included Francine Maisler for Best Casting (Sinners) and Autumn Durald Arkapaw for Best Cinematography (Sinners). Kate Hawley won Best Costume Design for Frankenstein, which also earned awards for Best Makeup and Hairstyling and Best Production Design.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning dominated the stunt categories, winning Best Stunts and Best Stunt Coordinator for Wade Eastwood. Wicked: For Good received the Best Visual Effects award.
Television Winners at the 2025 Astra Creative Arts Awards
In television, HBO Max’s The Pitt led with three wins, including Best Casting, Best Editing, and Best Production Design.
Netflix’s Wednesday and Stranger Things followed with two awards each. Wednesday was recognized for Best Choreography and Best Costume Design, while Stranger Things earned Best Score and Best Visual Effects.
Additional television awards went to Severance (Best Cinematography), It: Welcome to Derry (Best Main Title Design), Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy (Best Makeup), Gen V (Best Stunts), and Alien Earth (Best Sound).
