During conversations surrounding Masters of the Universe, stars Nicholas Galitzine and Alison Brie opened up about the emotional themes behind the highly anticipated reboot, the pressure of stepping into iconic roles, and the film’s shocking end-credit scene that already has fans theorizing about the future of Eternia.

After being asked about the ending tease, Galitzine hinted that the story ahead could become even more intense emotionally and psychologically.

The actor explained that beneath the film’s massive action sequences and fantasy spectacle lies a story centered around courage, vulnerability, and the burden of power.
Galitzine also got candid about how emotionally overwhelming acting can sometimes feel, especially while leading a major franchise.
“It’s kind of a vulnerable thing to be a creative and put something on film that will last forever and ask people to judge you.”
One particularly emotional moment came after Alyssa shared how films often become a form of escape for audiences growing up — something that visibly resonated with the actor.
When discussing childhood inspirations, Galitzine revealed that Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings had one of the biggest impacts on him creatively.
“Viggo’s performance had so much soul in it. There was an ancientness to him, but also charm and fun.”
Meanwhile, Alison Brie reflected on the constant challenge of maintaining confidence as an actor, admitting self-doubt is something she still battles regularly.

Brie also revealed one of the funniest behind-the-scenes moments from filming when her dramatic Evil-Lyn entrance scene immediately went wrong after someone stepped on her cape.
“They stepped on my cape. It choked me. It pulled me backwards.”
The actress laughed while remembering how the intense villain entrance instantly turned into complete chaos on set.
She additionally credited her time on GLOW for preparing her physically for the stunt-heavy action sequences featured throughout Masters of the Universe.
And in one unexpectedly wholesome reveal, Brie shared that childhood Barbie storylines may have secretly been her first introduction to storytelling.
“Barbie and Ken were always going on very respectful dates.”
