Jordan Peele does it again dropping a cryptic trailer that offers just enough to get under your skin, but not enough to satisfy your curiosity. His latest film, HIM, pulls you into its strange, layered world and leaves you with more questions than answers. And that’s exactly the point.
At the center of it all is Tyriq Withers, a breakout talent fresh off I Know What You Did Last Summer, who plays a rising football star caught in something far bigger than the game. The film appears to blend biblical allegory, psychological horror, and stark football symbolism turning locker rooms into sanctuaries, huddles into rituals, and plays into prayers.

We don’t quite know what the evil is yet but it’s familiar. It’s something ancient, something whispered, something lived. Peele has always excelled at tapping into collective fears, and HIM looks to follow in the eerie footsteps of Get Out, Us, and Nope.
In a surprising shift, Marlon Wayans takes on a deeply serious and intense role, far removed from the comedic parts he’s known for. His performance, even in the brief trailer moments, hints at emotional depth and terror simmering just below the surface. His role in this film. bring out a rage of dedication to the sport of football and what it takes to be the best.

Directed by Justin Tipping (Joe vs. Carole), with a screenplay by Zack Akers & Skip Bronkie and Justin Tipping, producers Ian Cooper, Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal M. Watson, with executive producers David Kern and Kate Oh.
If Peele’s track record is anything to go by, HIM could be his most haunting film yet and possibly the horror event of the year. That is, if it can top Sinners.
