“It’s WAY Bigger”: Jason Blum Drops MAJOR Five Nights at Freddy’s Sequel Bombshell at M3GAN 2.0 Premiere
While walking the red carpet at the M3GAN 2.0 premiere, horror producer Jason Blum dropped some exciting hints about the future of the Five Nights at Freddy’s film franchise — and it sounds like things are only getting started.

In our exclusive interview, Blum couldn’t hide his enthusiasm for the upcoming FNAF sequel. “Scott [Cawthon] created such a rich mythology with so many different characters and kind of storylines to follow,” he said. “The canvas of the second movie — we introduced a whole bunch of new characters — and the canvas is just much bigger. It’s a bigger movie.”

While careful not to spoil too much, Blum’s comments make it clear that the sequel will significantly expand on the world introduced in the first film, diving deeper into the eerie lore and introducing fresh faces (and likely more animatronics) to haunt audiences.
“I can’t wait for fans to see it,” Blum added. “I think fans are going to be very happy.”
Naturally, we had to ask: Could we see more than two films in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series?
“I hope so. I hope so. I’m going to try,” Blum said with a smile — a hint that this could be the start of a full-fledged horror saga, much like what Blumhouse has built with The Purge, Insidious, and now M3GAN.
Given the first FNAF movie’s box office success and the passionate fanbase behind it, a larger franchise feels almost inevitable. If the sequel delivers on its promise of bigger scares and deeper lore, Freddy Fazbear and friends could be sticking around for quite a while.
Now, we need that second trailer and by the sounds of it, it is not far away!
Stay tuned — it looks like the night shift is far from over. While you wait don’t forget to catch up with your favorite killer Robot M3gan, out now!
