Warner Bros. Television and HBO made a chilling splash at San Diego Comic-Con by unveiling the second official teaser for their upcoming original drama series, IT: Welcome to Derry.

The new trailer delivered chaos, fear, and drama—everything we’ve come to expect from the haunted town of Derry. This series promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats, especially with the gruesome new scenes. We even got a terrifying glimpse of Pennywise himself, whose haunting laugh is enough to send chills down your spine.

The series was developed for television by filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti—best known for IT, IT Chapter Two, and The Flash. Andy is also set to direct the upcoming film Batman: The Brave and the Bold, which is currently being written and worked on. The Muschiettis are joined by Jason Fuchs (IT Chapter Two, Wonder Woman, Argylle) in bringing this dark world to life
IT: Welcome to Derry is set to premiere on HBO and will be available for streaming on HBO Max this October. Andy Muschietti will direct multiple episodes of the series.
Set within Stephen King’s IT universe and based on the original novel, the show will expand on the cinematic vision established in IT and IT Chapter Two.
The cast includes Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård. While most of their roles remain under wraps, it has been confirmed that Bill Skarsgård will reprise his iconic role as Pennywise the crazy and horrifying clown.
