Before the premier of Iron Heart, we had a chance to interview Dominque Thorne to discuss Riri living up to Chadwick Boseman’s inspiring speech “To Be Young, gifted, and black.” her future in returning to Marvel Zombies and the potential of Riri joining the Young Avengers and answering to a name to one of the big marvel characters from the comics.
LEGACY OF CHADWICK BOSEMAN
Meeting with Princess Shuri learning her invention was taken by the CIA and told by her teacher that she won’t be able to build it she told Shuri “To Be Young, gifted and black.” The same speech was delivered by Chadwick Boseman during a SAG Award. Returning to the MCU, Dominique Thorne answers that finds it encouraging what Chadwick Boseman said and what he has left behind in the MCU and it continues in Wakanda Forever and Dominique hopes to do the same in her show.
RIRI WILLIAMS FUTURE
Dominque Thorne has the experience with Marvel Studios for quite some time. It all started during a test screening with Chadwick Boseman as she first auditioned for the role of Shuri, made her debut as Riri Williams in Wakanda Forever, one episode appearance in Marvel’s What If…? season 3, her next return in Iron Heart series, confirmed to return in Marvel’s Zombies as Dominique revealed during the interview she had a great time and is excited for Zombies to premiere later this year. Marvel Studios is expected to make a Young Avengers project, some time ago Dominique, Xochitil Gomez, and Kathryn Newton were brought together to film for Disney’s Cruise ship, and if Marvel were to start making the Young Avengers project Dominique is expressed in working with them.
A MYSTERIOUS MARVEL CHARACTER MAKING ITS FIRST LIVE ACTION DEBUT?
Lastly, for some time now there have been talks that Marvel’s very own Satan, Mephisto will be making an appearance in Iron Heart possibly played by Borat actor Sacha Baron Cohen. Asking about his name, Dominque is not familiar with Mephisto. No confirmation of Mephisto’s MCU debut but was hinted at in Wandavision and an easter egg was spotted in Loki. It was rumored a while ago that Mephisto would be the one who purchased the Avengers Tower and the Hood played by Anthony Ramos and his cult would be followers serving Mephisto. In Iron Heart, we will expect supernatural events and the Hood’s organization are to be named the ‘Children of Dormammu but answers will be seen later in Iron Heart.
Iron Heart will be streaming to Disney Plus in less than two weeks starring Dominque Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Alden Ehrenreich, and much more. After the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Riri Williams pursues the creation of her own Iron Man suit to make something for herself. The only way for Riri to make her dream come true is to work for a cult to help finance her Iron Heart suit and later may have to face the unsafe environment Riri put herself through with the Hood.
