It’s Disneyween! Here’s Everything I Loved (and You Will Too) at Disneyland This Fall
We just got back from Disneyland and let me tell you — Halloween Time 2025 is already in full swing, and I’m obsessed. Like, full-on pumpkin-spice-core meets spooky magic OBSESSED. We went this past weekend to preview all the fall favorites, and yep — Disneyland delivered.
Table Of Content
If you’re thinking about going (or just need a little push to book that trip), here’s what I saw, did, ate, and absolutely LOVED.

Halloween Time Is Back (and It’s Better Than Ever)
The moment I walked into Disneyland, I could feel the Halloween energy. The Main Street pumpkin décor? Iconic as always. Mickey and Minnie in their new 70th Celebration-inspired Halloween outfits? Cutest thing ever. And don’t even get me started on the attractions…
Here are my absolute must-dos:
- Haunted Mansion Holiday – It’s Jack Skellington season, baby. I never skip this one.
- Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark – Wild and creepy in the best way.
- Cars Land – The overlays at Luigi’s and Mater’s rides are adorable and SO creative.
Also: Mickey’s Trick and Treat show? Surprisingly fun — especially if you have kids or just like to dance with Mickey. (No judgment here.)

Let’s Talk About the Halloween FOOD
I went full foodie this trip (surprise, surprise), and Halloween eats at Disneyland this year are UNREAL. My top picks:
- Ghost Mickey Cake Pop – Honestly? He’s cute and delicious. No notes.
- Orange Minnie Bow Cake Pop – A close second. Aesthetic AND tasty.
- German Chocolate Pie at Plaza Inn – If you like chocolate and coconut, get this.
- Bulgogi Potato – I didn’t expect to love this as much as I did. Spicy, savory, perfect.
- Oogie Boogie Burrito – This is a whole meal. Carne asada + fries + guac = 🤤 Take a look at the video, I was not trying to share it at all!
There are so many other limited-time snacks coming (Disney Eats has a full guide dropping soon), but these were the standouts for me.
Plaza de la Familia = Pure Heart
One of the most beautiful parts of the fall season at DCA is Plaza de la Familia. It honors Día de los Muertos, and the vibes here are everything — colorful, warm, and emotional in the best way.
What I loved:
- The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia show — it brought Coco to life, literally.
- Meeting Miguel after the show (he’s a hand-animated puppet and SO cute).
- The live music, crafts, papel picado everywhere… it’s such a special corner of the park.
- And the FOOD. Always yes to flavorful Mexican cuisine at Paradise Garden Grill.
If you’ve never taken the time to explore this area, please make time for it this year.
Yes, the 70th Celebration Is Still Going
Even with all the Halloween magic happening, the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration is still going strong. Some of my favorite touches:
- Paint the Night (always a favorite parade of mine).
- World of Color – Happiness! on select nights — yes, I cried.
- The sparkly castle photo op, Toy Story Midway Mania! updates, and those cute MagicBand+ interactions? Love it all.
It’s honestly kind of amazing how Disneyland blended the 70th and Halloween stuff. Two celebrations at once = worth it.
Extra Fun in Downtown Disney + Hotel Perks
If you’re staying overnight or just want more fun outside the parks, do not skip Downtown Disney right now. New this year:
- Weekly Halloween Movie Nights (Wednesdays starting Sept. 24). Picture this: movie under the stars + sweet treat cart = perfect night.
- Themed food and drinks, cute seasonal merch, and more fall décor. Honestly felt like a little cozy Halloween festival.
And if you’re lucky enough to stay at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels, you get access to some extra magic:
- Halloween-themed treat trails on select afternoons (adorable AND tasty).
- Villains cocktails at the Broken Spell Lounge 👀
- Spa treatments (yes, really — spooky relaxation at Tenaya Stone Spa).
- Character dining — I did the new Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner at Storytellers Cafe and it was SO good. The theming, the food, the vibes? 10/10.
- Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween is also back, and it’s wild, in the best way.
A Few Tips for Getting In
Planning a trip? Here’s the tea:
- You can still grab park tickets for select dates in August and September starting at $104/day (amazing deal).
- Magic Key annual passes are back on sale starting August 26 at 9:00 a.m. — set your alarm.
- There’s also a hotel deal running now: save up to 20% on multi-day stays.
Trust me, if you’ve been thinking about going — now’s the time.
Why You Should Go?
Disneyland during Halloween is just… different. It’s cozy and spooky and festive and magical all at once. Between the incredible entertainment, the fall décor, the food, and all the new additions for 2025, I honestly think this is one of the best years ever for Halloween Time at Disneyland.
Whether you’re heading in for the snacks (same), the characters, or just that Halloween magic in the air — I promise it’s worth it.
So grab your ears, plan your costume, and maybe I’ll see you there!
