Last night at the world premiere of Amazon MGM’s “Hotel Cocaine,” we spoke with Chris Brancato about bringing this thrilling new drug-crime mini-series to life. The show, which premieres this Sunday on MGM+, is set in the pulsating heart of the famous Mutiny Club in 1978 Miami. It follows Roman Compte, a Cuban exile and suave general manager of the glamorous Mutiny Hotel and nightclub, a hotspot for politicians, celebrities, undercover agents, and drug traffickers.

Brancato discussed his collaboration with his friend and partner, Maurice Compte, on this project, which is based on Maurice’s father, Roman.
