Since 2014’s Annie, we’ve been waiting for her triumphant return, and Back in Action finally delivers! Honestly, the moment I saw her name pop up alongside Jamie Foxx, I didn’t even hesitate—I hit play faster than you can say “nostalgia.”
And who could blame me? As Diaz herself shared in a behind-the-scenes clip, “How do you say ‘No’ to Jamie Foxx? If there’s anyone I’m going to go back and spend months on end on set having a ball and laughing with, it would be Jamie.” It feels like the golden duo of the 90s/2000s is right back where they belong: in an action-packed, laugh-out-loud adventure.

So, Back in Action kicks off with a couple of former agents—Diaz and Foxx—who’ve traded their high-stakes spy lives for what they think will be a quiet, “normal” existence.
