Wednesday Returns: Everything You Need to Know About Season 2
It’s time to dust off your black eyeliner and cello solos — Wednesday Addams is officially back. After becoming one of Netflix’s most talked-about series, the delightfully dark Wednesday returns this year with a highly anticipated second season, and fans won’t have to wait much longer.
Netflix has announced that Wednesday Season 2 will premiere in two parts. Part 1, which includes episodes 201 through 204, will drop on August 6, 2025. Part 2, wrapping up the season with episodes 205 through 208, will be released just a few weeks later on September 3, 2025.

This time around, Wednesday returns to the eerie and mysterious Nevermore Academy, where she’s once again pulled into a swirl of dark secrets, dangerous enemies, and cryptic clues. But beyond the Gothic architecture and undead drama, she’ll also have to navigate something far more complicated — her family, her friends, and her increasingly tangled web of adversaries. Season 2 promises a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery that plunges Wednesday deeper into chaos, forcing her to rely on her signature wit, deadpan charm, and unflinching attitude.
The series is led once again by showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who co-created the series and return to write and executive produce this second season. Also returning is Tim Burton, who not only serves as executive producer but directs several key episodes, including the season opener and finale. Additional episodes are directed by Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson, bringing a mix of visual flair and horror storytelling to the eight-episode run.
Jenna Ortega reprises her standout role as Wednesday Addams, joined by returning cast members Emma Myers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, and Moosa Mostafa. This season also introduces new faces including Steve Buscemi and Billie Piper, while special guest stars such as Fred Armisen, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, and Joanna Lumley add even more intrigue to the twisted world of Nevermore.

With its blend of dark comedy, supernatural suspense, and teenage angst — all filtered through the gothic gaze of Wednesday Addams — the next chapter promises to deliver the spooky and stylish thrills fans have been dying for.
August 6 can’t come soon enough.
