The film has a classic 80s/90s action movie vibe, reminding me of the intense, high-octane thrillers from that era. In this role, Davis proves she can hold her own against the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator—that’s how bad-ass she is in this film. The sheer presence she brings to the screen is undeniable, and it’s clear she’s as capable in action as she is in drama. If there’s any doubt about her versatility, G20 erases it with every punch, every tense moment, and every high-stakes decision her character makes.

It’s thrilling to see Davis step into such a physically demanding and action-packed role, and it leaves you wondering if we could see her in a superhero role next. If her performance in G20 is any indication, she’d be more than ready to take on anything the MCU—or any action franchise—could throw her way.
In fact, during the red carpet premiere Davis was asked about the possibility of joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe by Entertainment Tonight. With the MCU continuing to expand its roster of superheroes, the idea of Davis stepping into the world of capes and superpowers is a tantalizing prospect. When asked if she’d be interested in playing a Marvel character, Davis responded with clear enthusiasm: “Yeah, absolutely. I don’t know what hero I would be, you know. I just, my daughter is a Marvel fanatic, so I’ve watched, I think almost all of them five, six times.”
Davis didn’t stop there—she pitched a character idea of her own: “Probably an Iron Man. I would be — maybe Iron Mania? Iron Shaniqua Mania?” The playful suggestion shows just how much fun she’d have taking on such an iconic role, and it’s easy to see her bringing a unique flair to any superhero she plays.

What’s more, there are a few fun Marvel references in G20 that may hint to Davis’ potential MCU future. One of the characters in G20 jokingly refers to her president as “Captain America,” offering a playful nod to the Marvel universe and further fueling speculation about her role in a future superhero film.
As for now, G20 is proving that Davis can handle anything thrown her way—from political drama to heart-pounding action scenes. But for fans eager to see her take on a superhero, Davis’ response at the premiere only makes the possibility of her joining the MCU even more exciting. With her impressive versatility and undeniable screen presence, it wouldn’t be surprising if Marvel called her up sooner rather than later.
G20 heads to Prime Video April 9.
