Universal Studios’ Mega Movie Summer 2025: Where Blockbusters Come to Life!
Get ready, movie lovers, because Universal Studios Hollywood is about to turn the heat up on your summer plans in the best way possible. From June 13 to August 10, the park is rolling out the red carpet for the Universal Mega Movie Summer, a brand-new seasonal event packed with iconic movie moments, wild photo ops, exclusive merch, and food that’s straight from the backlot of your dreams.
Table Of Content
Whether you’re a dino-chaser, time-traveler, shark-spotter, or just here for the snacks (no judgment), there’s something for everyone.

Jurassic World Rebirth Is Taking Over
Hold onto your water bottles—Jurassic World—The Ride just got a Mosasaurus-sized update! New Spitter dinosaurs, geysers that’ll soak you, and a roaring finale that’ll leave you screaming (with joy, probably). Oh, and guess what? An adorable new dino friend from Jurassic World Rebirth joins Blue, Juliet, and Baby Tango to meet guests IRL. Snap a pic with the massive Spinosaurus photo op, or dive into a scavenger hunt featuring Compy the sneaky sidekick.
Foodie alert: Try the Jurassic Water Rebirth cocktail or the Spicy Jurassic Paradise at Isla Nubar. Just say you’re “eating like a T. rex.”
Jaws Turns 50 and It’s a Shark-Infested Party
We’re gonna need a bigger plate. The classic shark flick Jaws turns the big 5-0, and the park is celebrating Amity Island-style. Expect:
- A larger-than-life hanging shark for the ultimate throwback photo
- Meet-and-greets with Captain Quint and Chief Brody
- A Hollywood Sign tribute and festive fun at Jaws Lake
Eat like a beach local at the transformed Amity Island Café: Lobster Rolls, Shark Bait Burgers, Fish & Chips, and the Instagram-worthy Shark Fin Funnel Cake. Don’t forget a sip of The Shark Bite cocktail—if you dare.
Back to the Future: 40 Years Later and Still Flying
Grab your hoverboards: The Back to the Future Time Machine is parked and ready for selfies next to Mel’s Diner. Meet Doc, Marty, and Einstein, and indulge in nostalgia-powered bites like the Flux Capacitor Patty Melt, Outatime Cookie, and Wake Up Juice Cocktail.
Great Scott, that sounds delicious.
Wicked, Dragons, and Fast Cars—Oh My!
Say “hi” to Elphaba and Glinda at the dazzling Wicked photo op near the entrance. They’ll be out in style and ready for some seriously magical selfies.
Over at Universal Plaza, Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon (in theaters June 13) takes center stage in giant sculpted form. We’re talking 24 feet of dragon realness. Grab themed cookies, popcorn buckets, and unleash your inner Viking.
Plus, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is coming in 2026—but this summer, guests can see Dominic Toretto’s Dodge Charger ride vehicle up close before it speeds onto the scene.
BONUS ROUND: CityWalk Surprises & Movie Screenings
Over at Universal CityWalk, the celebration continues:
- Voodoo Doughnut is dropping treats like the “Doughnut Go in the Water” (Jaws), and dino-themed delights
- The Universal Studios Store and Cartooniversal will stock limited-edition Mega Movie Summer merch
- Five Towers Stage keeps the party going with DJs and live performances
Movie buffs, rejoice! Universal Cinema will showcase blockbusters like Jurassic World: Rebirth and How to Train Your Dragon, plus a special July 3 screening of the original Back to the Future on the big screen.
