Meet Lilypad: The New High-Tech Toy on the Block
The teaser introduces fans to Lilypad, a frog-shaped smart tablet toy voiced by the incredible Greta Lee (Past Lives, The Morning Show, TRON: Ares). Lilypad’s arrival sends shockwaves through the playroom, as Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang must face off against this high-tech rival — one that’s making “playtime” more complicated than ever.
Described as a “smart toy with a sharp tongue,” Lilypad brings modern-day tech chaos to the nostalgic world of classic toys, setting the stage for what looks like a hilarious and heartfelt new adventure.

The Gang’s All Here (and Then Some)
Of course, it wouldn’t be Toy Story without the originals. Tom Hanks returns as the ever-faithful Woody, Tim Allen is back in action as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack once again saddles up as Jessie. Tony Hale reprises his role as everyone’s favorite confused craft project, Forky.
Adding to the fun, Conan O’Brien joins the cast as Smarty Pants, a toilet-training tech toy who might just be the comic relief we didn’t know we needed.

Behind the Scenes
Toy Story 5 is directed by Andrew Stanton — the Oscar®-winning filmmaker behind WALL•E, Finding Nemo, and Finding Dory — alongside co-director Kenna Harris (Ciao Alberto). The film is produced by Lindsey Collins, whose credits include Turning Red and WALL•E.
In a joint statement, Stanton and Harris said:
“It’s been a hilarious and poignant journey exploring how our favorite team of legacy toys might respond to today’s world of technology, and we’re thrilled to share this first glimpse with audiences. Having the remarkably talented Greta Lee bring Lilypad to life — balancing a playfully antagonistic tone with humor and heart — has been incredible.”
