The Hunt Evolves Predator: Badlands Ignites Comic-Con with Shocking Reveals and a Legendary Surprise

Predator fans, prepare yourselves Predator: Badlands just took over Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con in the most epic way possible.

The panel kicked off with stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi joining director and producer Dan Trachtenberg in front of a massive crowd over 6,500 strong many of whom were fully geared up in Predator masks. Suddenly, a towering 7-foot Predator emerged from the shadows and stalked its way through the hall, using its heat vision to scan the room in real time.

The energy in Hall H was electric as Dan Trachtenberg teased what’s to come in the highly anticipated new chapter of the Predator saga. Legendary creature designer Alec Gillis also made a surprise appearance, hinting at deep lore connections and briefly touching on the buzzworthy animated spinoff Predator: Killer of Killers.

Then came the real jaw dropping exclusive alternate ending that brought back two franchise icons Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Glover in a shocking and emotional twist that instantly sent fans into a frenzy. The panel wrapped with a full 15-minute sneak peek of Predator: Badlands, giving audiences their first look at the action, atmosphere, and intensity this film promises to deliver.

Before leaving, every attendee scored an SDCC-exclusive Predator: Badlands poster but not before snapping a selfie with the cast, the filmmakers, and yes, the Predator itself.

Director Dan Trachtenberg promises a bold new direction for the franchise. “The Predator has always been the deadliest hunter in the galaxy but never the victor,” he shared. “This time, we’re changing the game. We’re putting the Predator on a different kind of path, pairing it with a completely unexpected character, and taking them both on a wild, emotional, and brutal ride.”
