Based on the bestselling books by Aaron Blabey, The Bad Guys introduced us to a crackerjack crew of animal criminals who decided it might be nice to try being good for a change emphasis on try. In The Bad Guys 2, our now reformed crew are doing their best to stay on the straight and narrow but, of course, trouble finds them anyway.
When a globe trotting heist drops into their laps courtesy of a brand new squad of criminals called The Bad Girls the Bad Guys are forced to level up their game once again. Who knew trying to be good could get you into this much trouble.
The all star voice cast returns, with Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Awkwafina, Danielle Brooks, Natasha Lyonne, and Maria Bakalova leading the pack. Fans will also hear Emmy nominee Zazie Beetz back as the savvy Governor Diane Foxington, BAFTA winner Richard Ayoade as the sly Professor Marmalade, Emmy winner Alex Borstein as Misty Luggins who’s now the Police Commissioner, Lilly Singh as Tiffany Fluffit, everyone’s favorite over the top reporter.
Packed with action, comedy, and heart, The Bad Guys 2 promises to deliver all the clever twists, fun characters, and moments that made the first movie a hit for kids and grown ups alike. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the books or just fell in love with the first film’s smooth talking criminals with a soft side, this sequel looks ready to steal our hearts all over again.
