Scary Movie Returns: The Wayans Bros Bring Satire Horror Back to Life
Paramount Pictures presents, in association with Miramax, a Wayans Brothers production that resurrects one of comedy’s most iconic franchises. Scary Movie is back — sharper, bolder, and ready to slice through every horror trend Hollywood has to offer.
The Core Four Reunite
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer known as “Ghostface,” the Core Four are once again in the crosshairs. Marlon Wayans (Shorty), Shawn Wayans (Ray), Anna Faris (Cindy), and Regina Hall (Brenda) reunite to take on a new generation of horror — where no intellectual property is safe.
From reboots and remakes to requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, and every so-called “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final, nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back — and they’re ready to cancel Cancel Culture.
Creative Team & Production
Directed by Michael Tiddes, the film is executive produced by Jonathan Glickman, Thom Zadra, Alexandra Loewy, and Marsha L. Swinton.
Producers include Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez.
Written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez, the film is based on characters created by Shawn Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Buddy Johnson, Phil Beauman, Jason Friedberg, and Aaron Seltzer.

Star-Studded Cast
An ensemble cast of fan favorites and fresh faces joins the Core Four, including Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans, Benny Zielke, Cameron Scott Roberts, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Dave Sheridan, Heidi Gardner, Lochlyn Munro, Olivia Rose Keegan, Ruby Snowber, Savannah Lee Nassif, and Sydney Park.
A Legacy of Laughter and Horror
The return of Scary Movie marks a bold new chapter for the genre-defining parody franchise. With the Wayans family back at the helm, audiences can expect fearless comedy and razor-sharp satire. The film delivers an unapologetic takedown of modern horror’s most overused clichés.
One thing is certain — this final chapter definitely isn’t the final chapter. And,the release date for SCARY MOVIE 6 has officially changed to June 5, 2026!
