Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien Battle for Survival in Sam Raimi’s Twisted New Thriller ‘Send Help’
20th Century Studios has unveiled the first trailer and poster for Send Help. The darkly comedic psychological thriller comes from visionary filmmaker Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, The Evil Dead). Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien lead the film, which hits theaters nationwide on January 30, 2026.
The original film follows Linda Liddle (McAdams) and Bradley Preston (O’Brien), two co-workers stranded on a deserted island after surviving a devastating plane crash. As the pair struggle to survive and confront their shared history, their cooperation begins to crumble. What follows is a darkly humorous and unsettling battle of wills where power, paranoia, and survival instincts collide.
“I’ve always loved stories where interesting, dynamic characters are pushed to extremes,” says director Sam Raimi. “In our story, the power shifts create an escalating situation that’s brimming with unexpected turns and suspense.”
The film’s ensemble cast also includes Edyll Ismail (La Brea), Dennis Haysbert (Far from Heaven), Xavier Samuel (Elvis), Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians), Thaneth Warakulnukroh (Thai Cave Rescue), and Emma Raimi (Happy Pills).

Sam Raimi and Zainab Azizi (65) produce Send Help, with JJ Hook (The Amateur) as executive producer. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Friday the 13th, Baywatch) wrote the screenplay, with Danny Elfman (The Nightmare Before Christmas, Batman) composing the original score.
