Let’s dive into what’s happening this year, and why it’s the perfect time to visit Disney Parks for Black History Month (plus, there are some sweet discounts going on)!
Walt Disney World: A Celebration Like No Other
Tamron Hall Takes the Lead!
We’re kicking off the celebration with extra glam, courtesy of Emmy-winning journalist and talk show host Tamron Hall! She’ll be the Grand Marshal of a magical parade at Magic Kingdom Park on February 1. I don’t know about you, but I’m already imagining the float, the characters, the music—it’s going to be a vibe! Make sure to catch her strutting down Main Street U.S.A. around 3 p.m. ET, with all the Disney magic you can handle.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – A Must-Do!
Next stop: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. This new attraction is pure Bayou brilliance, where Disney’s magic meets soulful thrills. With original songs by Grammy winner PJ Morton and appearances by Princess Tiana, Louis the jazz-loving alligator, and even Mama Odie, this is one ride you don’t want to miss!
Art That Speaks to the Soul
If you’re into art (and if you’re not, now’s a great time to start!), the Disney Springs Art Walk: A Canvas of Expressionis where you’ll want to be. The work of talented Black artists like Ernest Shaw, Nneka Jones, and Marci Swett will have you stopping to take it all in. And get this—Washington, D.C.-based artist Brandon Hill is unveiling a brand-new mural!
Meanwhile, over at EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts, there’s even more to feast your eyes on. Black artists like Yesenia Moises, Ryan Riller, and Mark Page will be showcasing their talent, so you’ll have tons of chances to take in their work and meet them in person. You might even catch a DISNEY ON BROADWAY performance while you’re at it—Jelani Remy (from The Lion King) is making his debut!
Dance, Baby, Dance!
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there’s no shortage of rhythm. Join the Viva Gaia Caribbean street party in Discovery Island or get down with the Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe in Africa. Seriously, you won’t be able to resist tapping your feet.

Savor the Flavors of Black History
Now, let’s talk food. Trust me, these limited-time dishes are too good to pass up. Picture yourself munching on Blackened Salmon with Plant-based Hot Italian Sausage-Bean Ragoût or enjoying a warm Peach Cobbler with cinnamon panna cotta and whipped cream. And those are just the beginning—check out all the incredible Celebrate Soulfully food offerings around Walt Disney World Resort this February!
Disneyland Resort: Soulful Moments
Celebrate Gospel at Disneyland!
Get ready to feel the music at the Celebrate Gospel concerts at Disneyland Park! On February 8 and 15, head to Fantasyland Theatre to experience the magic of gospel music with artists like DOE and Melvin Crispell, III. It’s a tradition that brings together award-winning talent and community choirs, and trust me, it’s a soul-stirring experience.
Princess Tiana’s Magical Influence
Princess Tiana is the queen of the party this month. You’ll see her story come to life throughout New Orleans Square and Bayou Country at Disneyland Park—yes, even in the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! Don’t forget to stop by Tiana’s Palace for a meal that’ll transport you straight to the heart of New Orleans.
Black Disney Legends & Avengers
Over at Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll find a special window display in Hollywood Land honoring Disney Legend Floyd Norman, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ first Black animator. And speaking of legends, don’t miss out on meeting Black Panther and Sam Wilson—Captain America at Avengers Campus! The chance to train with the Dora Milaje is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Joe Gardner Bringing the Jazz Vibes
At Pixar Place Hotel, you might just spot Joe Gardner from Pixar’s Soul playing smooth jazz tunes. Is there a better way to unwind after a day at the parks? I don’t think so!
Let’s Talk Food Again—Because It’s That Good!
Just like at Walt Disney World, Disneyland is rolling out a delicious lineup of dishes that pay homage to Black culture. Catfish Po’Boy, anyone? Or how about a hearty Fried Chicken Bowl with mac and cheese, collard greens, and sweet potato cornbread? If you’re craving Southern comfort food with a Disney twist, this is where you need to be!
