Today, Universal Pictures shared the captivating new trailer for “Wicked,” which is set to debut on Thanksgiving, and it is everything we could ask for.
The highly anticipated film serves as a prequel to “The Wizard Of Oz,” delving into the untold tale of the witches of Oz. Cynthia Erivo portrays Elphaba, a young woman with green skin, on a journey to discover her true power. Ariana Grande dazzles as Glinda, a privileged and ambitious individual who has yet to uncover her true heart.

Their unlikely friendship blossoms at Shiz University in the fantastical Land of Oz, but their encounters with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz lead them down divergent paths. As Glinda succumbs to the allure of power, Elphaba remains steadfast in her authenticity, leading to unforeseen consequences that shape their futures as Glinda the Good and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.
The star-studded cast also includes Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Peter Dinklage, and Bowen Yang, under the direction of Jon M. Chu, known for his work on “Crazy Rich Asians.”
