Two familiar faces Joquinn Torres played by Danny Ramirez will make his superhero debut as the new Falcon and Carl Lumby reprising as Isaiah Bradley a Korean War Veteran who spent three decades as a test subject to take the recreation of Super Soldier Serum. Now Torres will be fighting alongside Sam Wilson and Isaiah Bradley is now a wanted fugitive for attempting to kill President Ross.

Harrison Ford is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe playing Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt Ross. Ford will be taking over the role of Ross who was previously played by William Hurt in the MCU until he passed away on March 13, 2022. Thaddeus Ross made his first appearance in The Incredible Hulk attempting to recreate the Super Soldier Serum with Bruce Banner’s aid to recreate by using Gamma Radiation that turned him into the Hulk. Hunting down Bruce Banner to capture him, and use his blood to weaponize for the military to replicate their hulk for the U.S. Army. After the events of the Incredible Hulk, Ross returns to Captain America: Civil War leaving the military and serving as the U.S. Secretary of State and administering a new law to take control of the action by Superheroes mostly the Avengers to sign the Sokovia Accords and later the law has been repealed. In the comics, General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt Ross ran the Gamma Bomb project Bruce Banner worked on that turned himself into the Hulk. General Ross’s motives in the comics were to hunt down and then later harness the Hulk’s powers to create bioweapons for the U.S. military. In the 2008 comics, Ross transformed into the Red Hulk to face the Hulk and defeat him. Then later becomes sympathetic to Banner and forsakes everything he believed in about the Hulk and Bruce Banner, later decides to become a superhero, and forms his version of the Thunderbolts team.

Samuel Sterns made his first appearance in The Incredible Hulk and was not seen or mentioned ever since. In the comic books, Samuel Sterns aka the Leader is one of the Hulk’s major enemies diverges from the film as Samuel Sterns was a janitor then exposed to Gamma Radiation that mutated his skin green, growing a large cranium, gained superior intelligence, called himself ‘The Leader’ and set for world domination. Now after seventeen years, Tim Blake Nelson is set to play Samuel Sterns once again in Captain America: Brave New World and make his supervillain debut known. It’s confirmed that Tim Blake Nelson will be covered in green skin makeup up and there will be less CGI on his cranium.

In the last scene of Samuel Sterns in The Incredible Hulk, Sterns helps Blonsky become the Abomination after the transformation, Abomination hits directly to Sterns and Bruce Banner’s blood drips onto Sterns’ cranium mutating, teasing into becoming his supervillain comic adaptation. Back in 2012, Marvel released the comic storyline ‘Nick Fury’s Big Week’ where the events of Iron Man 2, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, and Captain America First Avenger took place. In the storyline, Black Widow encounters with Samuel Sterns. Sterns was acting delirious and bribed his vision to Romanoff but unceremoniously she shot Sterns and was later captured and placed into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody and was not heard since then. It’s unknown if Marvel Studios will use that storyline for The Leader’s absence or if he stays hidden from the world to ascend his intelligence. If the Leader is to bring chaos in Captain America: Brave New World, Sterns is the only person with the knowledge of Bruce Banner’s blood to recreate the Hulk and it may be shown that he is the one who will experiment President Ross into the Red Hulk.

Not only Tim Blake Nelson will be reprising as Samuel Sterns, but another Incredible Hulk actor Liv Tyler will also be reprising as Betty Ross, daughter of Thaddeus Ross and Bruce Banner’s love interest. New Characters from the comics will be making their live-action debut in Captain America: Brave New World. Shira Haas will be playing Ruth Bat-Seraph in the comics she was a superhero. In the MCU, Ruth Bat-Seraph differs from her comic adaptation as she is a former Black Widow and is now a high-ranking U.S. government Official. Alita Battle Angel star Rosa Salazar’s role will be Rachel Leighton aka Diamondback a member of the supervillain team The Serpent Society. While in production it was seen that members of the Serpant Society were spotted but after reshoots, the entire Serpant Society is now being shelved. During reshoots Salazar was spotted and is certain to be the only member of the Serpent Society to appear in Captain America: Brave New World. Giancarlo Esposito’s role continues to remain hidden no confirmation of his character’s role until recently it’s rumored that Esposito will play George Washington Bridge a former mercenary and high-ranking agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Now its confirmed by Giancarlo Esposito no one has guessed correctly on what Esposito’s role is in Captain America Brave New World now continues to stay hidden.
In the events of the Eternals, the Eternal stopped the celestial Tiamut from ascending to its true form and it remains now an island in the Indian Ocean. As the world in the MCU urges possession to have the source of Vibranium promised by King T’Challa now T’Challa passes away and Wakanda turns back to T’Challa’s promise to the world. Now with the Island Tiamut will be investigated and Tiamut Island is certainly the source of the metal alloy known as Adamantium. Adamantium is the same metal used for Wolverine’s claws in his skeletal system. It’s known in the comics Vibranium is a strong alloy that can withstand Adamantium. Now with Mutants slowly rising in the MCU no plans revealed for the MCU’s Earth 616 that Charles Xavier exists and forming the X-Men or if Tiamut Island can make Wolverine’s debut by having adamantium surgically grafted into his skeletal system, but it’s confirmed that the X-Men exist in other realities in the multiverse.

It was told that Captain America: Brave New World had to go through massive reshoots between May and June 2024 due to negative feedback during early test screening. The upcoming movie will bring much excitement, many familiar faces, discoveries, and new character debuts. What else can Captain America: Brave New World bring for future potential in the MCU, hopefully get the answers of what happened to Steve Rogers after passing down Sam his shield and see Sam Wilson’s potential to become leader of the Avengers.
