
Moana 2 Set to Release November 27, Followed by Mufasa: The Lion King in December!
Chee hoo! Fans of Moana are in for a treat as Moana, Maui, Heihei, Pua the pig, and the mischievous Kakamora make their return in the all-new big-screen adventure, Moana 2. Walt Disney Animation Studios recently unveiled a new trailer and poster for the highly anticipated sequel, set to hit theaters on November 27, 2024.

The trailer made its debut to an enthusiastic crowd at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where stars Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson took the stage together for the first time. Cravalho, the voice of Moana, wowed fans with a live performance of one of the movie’s new songs, “We’re Back.” She was joined by dancers and drummers from Nonosina Polynesia, led by Tiana Liufau, who contributed choreography to both the original Moana and its sequel. In true Maui style, Dwayne Johnson led the audience in an energetic “chee hoo!” chant, firing up the crowd.
