Marvel’s First Family in one Universe after another
We’re exactly three weeks away from San Diego Comic-Con. It’s time for everyone to dress up as their favorite characters, meet and greet, and attend panels. This year, Marvel’s Hall H will be featured at the upcoming event. It’s confirmed that Marvel will unveil plans for their upcoming Disney Plus series later at the D23 event.
On July 1st, 2024, promo art of Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four was spotted at the San Diego Convention Center preparing for the upcoming event. The promo art shows silhouette side profile pictures of Mister Fantastic, The Human Torch, Invisible Woman, and The Thing. The posters share an organization logo ‘The Future Foundation’. In the comics Mister Fantastic created ‘The Future Foundation’ and the fans who read the storyline will question how this organization will have a huge impact in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

What do we know so far of Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four? It’s confirmed by Kevin Feige that Marvel’s first family will take place during the 1960’s in an alternate universe. In their universe, it’s shown on the Human Torch poster months earlier in the background we see a space-age New York City. In the early times, artists made pieces predicting our future as retro style blended with Utopias, technology, and transportation. This Fantastic Fours’ alternative universe will bring the advanced futurism Utopia to the big screens next year and if the entire cast were to cross over with the Avengers, Spider-Man, or the Guardians of the Galaxy then the Future Foundation could be the answer for the Fantastic Four to travel to earth 616.
In the comics, Reed Richards’ father Nathaniel Richards shares his intellectual mind with his son and later when Nathaniel gains the ability to time travel, he discovers his alternative self Immortus, and many variants of Kang the Conqueror. Unlike Reed Richards’ father, he differs from all Kang variants, he has no intentions of conquering worlds and abandons his son to protect him from his alternative self.

In the 2010 comics, Reed Richards developed the Future Foundation to help create solutions to the world’s problems involvement with time travel and, a journey to the multiverse and his father Nathaniel Richards joined the foundation. Once the organization was created many intellectual minds joined the Future Foundation. After The Human Torch’s death, his final request is to have Spider-Man join and shockingly Reed and Susan’s daughter recruits Doctor Doom to join the Future Foundation. Time travel is shown how it works in the MCU, but no plans revealed yet for Doctor Doom’s involvement, or Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards’ father as a Kang Variant in the upcoming movie.

As far as we learned in Earth 616, there are no mentions or discoveries of the Fantastic Four ever existing, many characters from the Fantastic Four comics made their debut in all the projects we‘ve experienced in the last sixteen years. Characters such as Ronan the Accuser, Black Panther, Ulysses Klaue, Skrulls, Agatha Harkness, Blackbolt the Inhuman King, and Adam Warlock. It’s unknown if any heroes such as the Avengers or anyone else exist in the Fantastic Four’s universe, with Reed Richards’ intellectual mind, and his creation can lead to discovers of time travel, a journey to the multiverse, and possibly solutions for the future events if ‘Avengers: Secret Wars. Now we know the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and other spider-mans’ are connected in the MCU’s multiverse, but no plans reveal if all will be brought together to join forces and face the Council of Kang or The Beyonder.
