Scream 7? Luke Wilson Open to Return and Shares Horizon: An American Saga Update
Luke Wilson, this year’s Hollywood Christmas Parade Grand Marshal, shared thoughts on returning to the Scream franchise, which is gearing up for Scream 7 in 2026. Fans will remember his cameo in Scream 2, where he played the fictional Billy Loomis in the in-universe Stab movies, a meta nod to the terrifying Ghostface saga that also involved Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers.
When asked about stepping back into the horror franchise, Wilson couldn’t help but laugh, admitting that sometimes it slips his mind that he was even in the films. “People will come up and be like, ‘You were in **Scream?’’ And he responds, ‘I actually wasn’t… oh yeah, I was in **Scream!’” The idea of returning, though, clearly excites him, and he joked, “They still make them, right?” Fans are already buzzing with speculation about which characters and cameos could show up in the seventh installment.

Wilson also gave a peek at another major project on the horizon. The film, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2, premiered at the Venice International Film Festival but is expected to reach a wider audience in 2026. The sequel continues Kevin Costner’s epic Western saga, following settlers as they navigate life and challenges in post–Civil War America. The first chapter set the stage, and Chapter 2 promises higher stakes, richer character arcs, and sweeping landscapes that pull viewers deep into the frontier story.
“The story really ramps up in the sequel,” Wilson said. “Everything built in the first movie leads to major developments in Chapter 2. Fans of the Horizon saga will see the pace pick up and the drama unfold in ways that make the second film even more exciting.” With Costner at the helm, the sequel is shaping up to be a visual and emotional spectacle for lovers of historical dramas and epic Westerns.

For Scream fans, anticipation is already building. From the return of familiar faces to the looming threat of Ghostface, Scream 7 is shaping up to deliver all the suspense, scares, and twists that fans crave. Meanwhile, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 offers a completely different thrill — one rooted in cinematic grandeur, intense drama, and the sweeping story of survival on the American frontier.
Whether it’s the chilling tension of Woodsboro or the rugged landscapes of post–Civil War America, Wilson’s reflections give a fascinating look at how actors revisit iconic roles while diving into ambitious new projects. Both projects are poised to make a splash in 2026, giving fans plenty to look forward to in both horror and epic Western storytelling.
