“House of Spoils” Serves Up Thrills with Oscar-Winner Ariana DeBose as a Haunted Chef
Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose stars as “Chef” in House of Spoils, a new horror/suspense film that walks into the chaos she faces both in and out of the kitchen. This genre-bending thriller is the second feature film from writer-director duo Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy, who previously made waves with Blow the Man Down.

DeBose leads an ensemble cast that includes Barbie Ferreira, Arian Moayed, Amara Karan, Mikkel Bratt Silset, and Marton Csokas. The story follows an ambitious chef who opens a restaurant on a remote estate, where she grapples with the pressures of running a high-stakes kitchen and her self-doubt. As if these challenges weren’t enough, a mysterious and haunting presence seems determined to undermine her efforts at every turn.
The film also features food styling by Zoe Hegedus, known for her work on Midsommar, Poor Things, and both parts of Dune. With a unique expertise in creating memorable food scenes for film and television, Hegedus brings a distinctive flavor to the visual storytelling of House of Spoils.

Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse Television, House of Spoils continues the successful collaboration forged between the two studios in 2019. The film is produced by Greg Gilreath, Adam Hendricks, Drew Houpt, Alex Scharfman, Lucas Joaquin, and Jason Blum, with executive producers Bridget Savage Cole, Danielle Krudy, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, and Chris Dickie.
