The Running Man| Thrilling Behind-the-Action Featurette
Paramount Pictures has dropped an electrifying new behind-the-scenes featurette for The Running Man (2025), directed by Edgar Wright and starring Glen Powell. The featurette dives into the film’s high-stakes action, striking visuals, and Wright’s bold reimagining of the cult sci-fi thriller based on Stephen King’s novel.
Set in a near-future dystopia, The Running Man centers on the top-rated show on television—a brutal, state-sanctioned competition where “Runners” must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins. The show broadcasts every move to a bloodthirsty public, and the prize money grows with each day survived.
Glen Powell stars as Ben Richards, a working-class man entering the game to save his sick daughter. Convinced by ruthless producer Dan Killian (Josh Brolin), Ben becomes an unlikely fan favorite, turning his grit into a national spectacle. As ratings soar, danger grows, and Ben must outsmart the Hunters and a watching society.
The featurette highlights practical stunts, immersive world-building, and Powell performing most of his own action. The cast also includes William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, Daniel Ezra, Jayme Lawson, Sean Hayes, Katy O’Brian, with Colman Domingo and Josh Brolin.
