On Tuesday, November 19, a group of eight exceptional students from seven renowned Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) participated in an exclusive virtual event featuring the iconic Denzel Washington. The legendary actor, known for his compelling performances, is among the stars of the highly anticipated Gladiator II.

The event, moderated by DJ Jae Murphy, a Howard University alumnus, brought together communication and marketing students from Clark Atlanta University, Morehouse College, Spelman College, Florida A&M University, Alcorn State University, Norfolk State University, and Tennessee State University. These students, selected for their academic achievements and extracurricular involvement, represented a diverse range of perspectives and expertise.

This unique initiative aimed to inspire and nurture the next generation of artists and leaders at HBCUs. Students had the rare opportunity to engage directly with Washington in an interactive session, asking questions about his experience filming Gladiator II, seeking career advice, and discussing his future plans in film direction as he considers retirement.
