Exclusive Photos: Inside the Star Wars “The Acolyte” Premiere Event
On Thursday night , stars Amandla Stenberg, Emmy®-winner Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Margarita Levieva, along with filmmakers Leslye Headland, Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff King, and Jason Micallef, graced the red carpet at the launch event for Lucasfilm’s new live-action Star Wars series, “The Acolyte.” Fans were thrilled to meet their favorite stars and creators. “The Acolyte” premieres on Tuesday, June 4, with the first two episodes available exclusively on Disney+. This thrilling, suspenseful series follows a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) investigating a shocking crime spree. He faces off against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg), uncovering dark secrets and sinister forces along the way.

Created by Leslye Headland and based on Star Wars by George Lucas, the series features executive producers Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef. Charmaine DeGraté and Kor Adana serve as co-executive producers, with Rayne Roberts, Damian Anderson, Eileen Shim, and Rob Bredow as producers.
Headland directed the premiere episodes (Eps. 101 & 102), with Kogonada (Eps. 103 & 107), Alex Garcia Lopez (Eps. 104 & 105), and Hanelle Culpepper (Eps. 106 & 108) directing subsequent episodes.
Award-winning composer Michael Abels, renowned for his work on “Get Out” and “Us,” scored “The Acolyte,” adding his signature touch to the series.
