As a massive “Criminal Minds” fan myself, I can attest to the show’s impact over the years, consistently bringing real, raw cases to life alongside its characters, making us feel like we know them personally. Paget has been part of the show as the beloved Emily Prentiss since 2006, creating a bond with her castmates and the devoted audience. As someone who has connected with both the original cast and the current members of the BAU, we had to ask Paget about her dream legacy character return. Her answer? None other than Dr. Reid, a fan favorite known for his colorful cardigans and relatable demeanor.

Paget also graciously shared some insights into the early days of her BAU career, revealing that the cast had access to actual FBI documents and cases. These real-life materials were not for the faint-hearted and naturally led to some paranoia among the cast.
The Evolution of “Criminal Minds”
Since the show’s return with “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” it has embraced a different format with more continuity and a serialized approach, focusing on the case involving Elias Voit and Gold Star. This positive change has been well-received by fans. Additionally, some cast members had the opportunity to direct episodes this season, which Paget reveals was a fun experience. Their deep understanding of the show contributed to creating great viewing experiences.
