Exclusive: Could Spider-Man and Elektra Appear in Daredevil: Born Again?
With the highly anticipated premiere of Daredevil: Born Again just around the corner on Disney+, fan theories and speculation are at an all-time high regarding which characters might make an appearance. To shed light on what fans can expect, we sat down with showrunner and producer Dario Scardapane, executive producer Sana Amanat, and executive producers/directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.
In the first two episodes, Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin—played by Vincent D’Onofrio—makes a reference to a certain spider-legged vigilante: Spider-Man. Naturally, this led us to ask whether the show would feature special cameos from Spider-Man, Elektra, or any other Marvel Comics heroes or villains.

While Benson and Moorhead remained tight-lipped on specifics, Amanat and Scardapane provided some insight into the show’s approach to crossovers. They emphasized that while characters like Spider-Man and Elektra exist within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Daredevil: Born Again is primarily focused on Hell’s Kitchen as its own distinct world.
They clarified that while cross-pollination between characters is possible, the show’s narrative remains centered on Daredevil’s immediate surroundings. This explains why Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, is returning—his story holds significant importance to the show’s arc. However, when it comes to Elektra or Spider-Man, it appears unlikely that they will make an appearance in this installment.
