Messer has been with “Criminal Minds” since its inception, and her insights into the show’s transition from its original format to the new ten-episode structure for streaming were enlightening. Additionally, she shared whether dealing with the demons in “Charmed” helped her tackle the earthly monsters she would encounter in “Criminal Minds.”
Transitioning to Streaming
Messer noted that the changes have been positively received by fans. The show’s new format has also allowed for more creative freedom, and the cases are more conventional as opposed to introducing a new subplot each episode. This time around, the story of Elias Voit and Gold Star spanned many episodes and will likely have some effect on Season 3’s storyline.
