Elle Fanning, Mark Hamill, Zoey Deutch & Wagner Moura Set to Be Honored at the 2026 Astra Film Awards

This year’s ceremony will recognize five standout artists whose work has left an indelible mark on film, television, and storytelling at large: Mark Hamill, Elle Fanning, Myron Kerstein, Wagner Moura, and Zoey Deutch.

An exclusive pre-show will stream on Knekt.tv and the Astra Awards Instagram channel. It will feature red carpet interviews with honorees, nominees, and winners ahead of the main ceremony. LA Magazine returns as the official media partner for the Astras.

Also returning as the charitable partner is Petco Love, the national nonprofit dedicated to saving pet lives. The organization will host an on-site pet adoption event, allowing attendees to adopt dogs in need of homes. Its founding in 1999, Petco Love has invested over $430 million in lifesaving efforts and helped place more than 7.1 million pets with families across North America.

2026 ASTRA FILM AWARDS HONORARY RECIPIENTS

Mark Hamill – Excellence in Artistry Award

Mark Hamill will receive the Excellence in Artistry Award in recognition of a legendary career defined by versatility, reinvention, and cultural impact. Best known for originating Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, Hamill’s influence spans film, television, theater, and voice acting. His definitive portrayal of the Joker across animation and video games has become iconic, while recent performances in The Life of Chuck and The Long Walk underscore his enduring creative power.

Elle Fanning – Vanguard Award

Actress and producer Elle Fanning will be honored with the Vanguard Award, celebrating a career marked by bold choices and artistic fearlessness. With more than 60 film and television credits and multiple major award nominations, Fanning continues to push creative boundaries. In 2025, she earned widespread acclaim for Sentimental Value. She also showcased remarkable range in Predator: Badlands, further solidifying her status as one of her generation’s most compelling performers.

Myron Kerstein – Artisan Achievement Award

Editor Myron Kerstein will receive the Artisan Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to cinematic storytelling. A frequent collaborator with director Jon M. Chu, Kerstein’s work on Wicked and Wicked: For Good follows an acclaimed career that includes tick, tick…BOOM!, Crazy Rich Asians, and In the Heights. A two-time Academy Award nominee and ACE Eddie Award winner, Kerstein is among the industry’s most respected editors.

Wagner Moura – Acting Achievement Award

Wagner Moura will be honored with the Acting Achievement Award for his extraordinary impact on global cinema and television. His critically lauded performance in Neon’s The Secret Agent has earned widespread awards attention, adding to a career that includes his iconic role in Narcos and standout work in Civil War, Shining Girls, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Moura recently made history as the first South American actor to win Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival.

Zoey Deutch – Virtuoso Award

Zoey Deutch will receive the Virtuoso Award, recognizing her exceptional range, intelligence, and creative daring. In 2025 alone, Deutch delivered acclaimed performances in The Threesome, Anniversary, and Richard Linklater’s Nouvelle Vague. Her portrayal of Jean Seberg in the latter earned some of the strongest reviews of her career. Beyond acting, Deutch has made a significant impact as both a producer and stage performer. Her work embodies the spirit of artistic excellence that the Virtuoso Award represents.
