
Disney+ Unveils The Inaugural Trailer For “Star Wars: The Acolyte.”
Lucasfilm’s Original Live-Action Series Premieres June 4 with First Two Episodes!
Disney+ has unveiled the debut trailer and key art for Lucasfilm’s highly anticipated original series, “Star Wars: The Acolyte.” Scheduled for an exclusive premiere on Tuesday, June 4, the series will kick off with its first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.
Set against the backdrop of a gripping investigation into a series of alarming crimes, “Star Wars: The Acolyte” delves into a compelling narrative. A revered Jedi Master (portrayed by Lee Jung-jae) finds himself pitted against a formidable adversary from his past (played by Amandla Stenberg). As they pursue the truth, they are drawn into a shadowy realm where malevolent forces unveil a reality far more sinister than imagined.
The stellar cast includes Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
Created by Leslye Headland and inspired by George Lucas’s iconic “Star Wars” universe, the series boasts an executive production team comprising Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef. Charmaine DeGraté and Kor Adana serve as co-executive producers, with Rayne Roberts, Damian Anderson, Eileen Shim, and Rob Bredow on board as producers.
Headland takes the helm as director for the premiere episodes (Eps. 101 & 102), while the series benefits from the directorial talents of Kogonada (Eps. 103 & 107), Alex Garcia Lopez (Eps. 104 & 105), and Hanelle Culpepper (Eps. 106 & 108).
Award-winning composer Michael Abels, renowned for his exceptional work on “Get Out” and “Us,” lends his talent to score “Star Wars: The Acolyte,” promising an immersive sonic experience for audiences.
