A Star-Studded Cast and a New Vision
Alongside our favorite duo, the film boasts an A+ supporting cast, including Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto (yes, The Good Place king himself!), Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray (YES, HE’S BACK!), Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon. AND the Elaine Hendrix, Lohan’s co-star from Parent Trap! This lineup alone is enough to send us into a nostalgia-fueled meltdown.
Directed by Nisha Ganatra, known for Late Night and The High Note, the film promises a fresh take on the body-swap comedy while keeping all the heart, humor, and absolute chaos that made the original so iconic. And let’s not forget—it’s still inspired by Mary Rodgers’ classic novel Freaky Friday, so we know we’re in good hands.

Behind-the-Scenes Magic
This movie is stacked with talent on and off screen! The film is produced by Kristin Burr (Cruella), Andrew Gunn (who also produced the 2003 Freaky Friday), and—wait for it—JAMIE LEE CURTIS HERSELF. Oh, and Lindsay Lohan is an executive producer, too, which means she is ALL IN on making this movie absolutely legendary.
