Deadpool and Wolverine: Secret Cameos and Multiverse Adventures
In a short time, Marvel Studios’ only movie for the year, “Deadpool and Wolverine,” is set to hit theaters on July 26th, 2024. The film is expected to make $200M – $239M on opening day, potentially breaking the record for an R-rated movie worldwide.
Audiences will see Hugh Jackman return as Wolverine, donning the iconic cowl and yellow suit, and finally fighting alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans can look forward to Fox’s X-Men franchise crossing over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, featuring a multiverse journey with the TVA and many familiar faces making cameo appearances and having supporting roles in “Deadpool and Wolverine.”

According to DanielRPK, Blade Trilogy actor Wesley Snipes is expected to reprise as Blade in Deadpool and Wolverine. It’s been twenty years since Wesley Snipes played the role in Blade Trinity [2004]. Before landing the role of Deadpool’ in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds starred in Blade Trinity and played Hannibal King. Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes never got along while filming Blade Trilogy. There is no confirmation that Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes condone their differences. If Wesley Snipes were to make an appearance in Deadpool and Wolverine, not only would he be making a cameo appearance but could also have a supporting role in the movie.
The plot of “Deadpool and Wolverine” is adapted from the comic book storyline “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe,” where Deadpool kills every Marvel superhero in his world. The movie diverges from the comics as Wade Wilson gets captured by the Time Variance Authority, travels through the multiverse, recruits Wolverine, and meets variants trapped in the Void. Audiences will see ruins of the 20th Century Fox logo and familiar faces such as Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Aaron Stanford as Pyro, Kelly Hu as Lady Deathstrike, and possibly Chris Evans as the Human Torch, among many others.

It was confirmed in May that Marvel Studios filmed Secret Cameo Scenes for Deadpool and Wolverine. Who else can we expect from previous Fox Marvel films or anyone in the MCU to reprise their roles? Despite that Wesley Snipes’ Blade Trilogy is from ‘New Line Cinema’ the movie rights for Blade were bought by Marvel Studios in 2012. Mahershala Ali is officially the new Day Walker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hopefully, Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes have put aside their differences and hopefully, we’ll see Marvel’s first live-action Vampire Killing Machine come back on the big screens next month.
