During press interviews for How to Train Your Dragon (2025), we spoke with actress Bronwyn James, who not only stars in the dragon-filled adventure but also plays ShenShen, one of Glinda’s “devoted” friends in Wicked: Part One and the upcoming sequel, Wicked: Part Two – Wicked For Good.

And according to James, fans need to brace themselves emotionally.
“If you cried at the first one,” she warned,
“the second one — you’re just going to be dehydrated.”
A Love Letter to Fans of the Musical and Books
James gave fans even more to look forward to, revealing that Wicked For Good is packed with hidden gems and layered storytelling that rewards both new audiences and longtime fans of the stage musical and Gregory Maguire’s original novel.
“It’s definitely rife with lots of Easter eggs,” she shared.
“For those people that haven’t seen the musical on stage, there’s lots of things you’re going to learn. And for those who have — there’s still a lot that’s going to surprise you.”
This sequel, directed once again by Jon M. Chu, continues the story of Elphaba and Glinda as the politics of Oz reach their breaking point — and apparently, so will our hearts.
