Airbnb Introduces Extraordinary Experiences From The World’s Greatest Icons, Including X-men, Prince, And More
AirBnb just shared some exciting news that will make your vacations easier and you
Airbnb is launching Icons, a thrilling new category featuring unparalleled experiences hosted by luminaries from the realms of music, film, television, art, sports, and beyond. Icons offers the chance to immerse yourself in unimaginable worlds. Imagine your next stay with a group of friends having the experience sleeping in the floating house from “Up,” or spending a night at the Ferrari Museum. Live like the X-Men as you stay in a 2D animated re-creation of Marvel Animation’s X-Mansion in Westchester, New York. You’ll discover your mutant abilities and even train in the Danger Room. Today marks the debut of the first 11 Icons on Airbnb, with more unique experiences set to release globally throughout the year.
“Icons open doors to worlds that were once confined to your dreams,” said Brian Chesky, co-founder and CEO of Airbnb. “In an era where digital life is omnipresent, we are committed to injecting some real-world enchantment. Icons represent the most remarkable experiences available on Earth.”
Here are the initial 11 Icons we’re excited to introduce:
- Drift off in the Up house
- Spend the night in the Ferrari Museum
- Step into X-Men ’97 –
- Go VIP with Kevin Hart
- Wake up in the Musée d’Orsay
- Join a living room session with Doja Cat
- Stay in Prince’s Purple Rain house
- Game with Khaby Lame
- Go on tour with Feid
- Live like Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor
- Make core memories with Inside Out 2
The release also includes updates on how we’re continuing to enhance the Airbnb experience for guests and Hosts ahead of a busy summer travel season:
In addition to the icons there will be new features for group trips that make the process more streamlined, including shared wishlists and trip invitations for co-travelers to a completely redesigned messaging experience.
Upgrades for the main Host: There will be a collection of upgrades for Hosts based on their feedback, including enhancements to the earnings dashboard, updates to the Listings tab launched in November for even more control, and an easier way to switch between the guest and Host sides of the app.
