A Storm is Coming: Andor Season 2 Ushers in the Final Chapter of a Rebellion in the Making
Hollywood lit up as the stars of Lucasfilm’s critically acclaimed series Andor gathered to celebrate its highly anticipated second and final season. Diego Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Forest Whitaker, and Benjamin Norris graced the red carpet, bringing both elegance and excitement to the evening.
Joining the cast were the creative minds behind the series, including creator, executive producer, and writer Tony Gilroy; executive producers Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, and John Gilroy (who also serves as editor); writers Dan Gilroy and Tom Bissell; and composer Brandon Roberts.
The event treated guests to a special cast and creator conversation, offering insights into the making of Andor Season 2, followed by an exclusive sneak peek at what’s to come. With emotions running high and anticipation building, it was a night that reminded fans just how powerful storytelling in a galaxy far, far away can be. The galaxy is on the brink of war, and Andor Season 2 promises to take us straight into the heart of it. As Cassian Andor edges closer to becoming a central figure in the Rebel Alliance, the final season raises the stakes with powerful storytelling, high-stakes intrigue, and emotional depth.
Set five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Andor chronicles the transformation of Cassian Andor—from a cynical outsider to the rebel hero we came to know and love. With war looming and the Empire tightening its grip, everyone is tested. Loyalties will be challenged. Sacrifices will cut deep. And the lines between right and wrong, friend and foe, will blur like never before.

The final season is told across 12 episodes and structured in four distinct arcs of three episodes each, giving us an epic narrative build-up toward Cassian’s destiny. The first arc premieres on April 22 on Disney+, and new chapters drop weekly. Returning to lead the charge is Diego Luna as Cassian, joined by a powerhouse cast: Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Alan Tudyk, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, and Elizabeth Dulau—plus the riveting returns of Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker.
Behind the scenes, the creative force is just as stacked. Series creator Tony Gilroy pens the first three episodes and serves as executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna, Luke Hull, and John Gilroy. The writing baton then passes to Beau Willimon (Episodes 4–6), Dan Gilroy (7–9), and Tom Bissell (10–12). Directing duties are handled by Ariel Kleiman (Episodes 1–6), Janus Metz (7–9), and Alonso Ruizpalacios (10–12).
As Andor gears up for its grand finale, fans can expect a gripping blend of political thriller and character-driven drama, setting the stage for a rebellion that will change the galaxy forever.
